Coir wattle prevents sediment pollution, helps stabilises stream banks and prevent the soil from eroding in to the stream below. When it is staked in trenches, coir wattles filter over land water flow, tapping and holding sediment on the stream bank. Coir wattles work well sitting directly in water and out of water on slopes, they hold the stream bank stable for years. This gives sprouting seeds ample time to develop intricate root system.
